The “Good Morning” rapper, who has several properties, recently bought a house in Calabasas located right across the street from Kardashian and their children: North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.
West spent a whopping $4.5 million on the home and a source told People that it is meant to be “family-friendly.” That source said, “Kanye’s new house is a teardown. He only bought it for the location. It’s near Kim and the kids. He has a vision for the house and plans on starting construction ASAP. He wants to be able to have the kids over as much as possible. Living only in Malibu was making visits more tricky for Kanye.”
Fans responded with mixed reactions about the news. One person said, “Stalker vibes. Not cool” while another wrote, “This isn’t goin to help! This sounds like a restraining order might be needed.” Others felt that the move was harmless and that it will help their co-parenting.
“Yea it makes sense so he can be closer to his kids,” said one. “They have kids together it was probably agreed upon. And don’t forget across the street is not our basic across the street it’s more like across the acres.”
Over the past several weeks, West has publicly stated several times that he wants to still be married to Kardashian. In one of his latest concerts, which took place on Dec. 9, he sang the lyrics to his song “Runaway,” but shifted the wording slightly to plead for another chance to be with his wife.
He sang, “I need you to run right back to me, baby,” adding, “more specifically, Kimberly” after that. His attempts to woo Kardashian seemingly failed as the SKIMS creator went to court to ask the judge to declare her legally single now and then handle child custody and property later.
Kardashian is currently also dating “Saturday Night Live” cast member Pete Davidson. West was also in a relationship with model Vinetria, but the two broke up less than two weeks after him singing about Kardashian.
West and Kardashian got married in 2014, two years after dating.
