Eduardo Camavinga could be about to evade the clutches of Chelsea by joining Bayern Munich this summer, according to France Football.
Camavinga is one of the hottest properties currently on the continent, with Rennes reaping the rewards of his talents.
The 18-year-old has been on the radar of Chelsea for some time (AS), along with a whole host of top European clubs.
If his comparisons to other players are anything to go by, he is certainly an attractive option for the Blues.
Former Sevilla full-back Julian Escude gave the terrific teenager a glowing review when speaking to Marca.
He said: “The level of maturity and calmness that he shows is incredible for his age and even more so as a midfielder.
“(Didier) Deschamps said that (N’Golo) Kante makes the difficult things easy, which is the hardest thing. Camavinga is the same.”
Emulating even half of what Kante has achieved in English football would put Camavinga in good stead for the future.
However, it seems his destiny might lie in the hands of Bayern.
France Football reported that the Bundesliga champions were planning to convince Rennes to let their young prodigy leave in the coming weeks.
Although the Ligue 1 side will be sad to see their golden child flee the nest, it’s very difficult to say no to Bayern.
