As predicted, the Peoples Democratic Party has swept the the presidential poll in Ekiti State, winning in all the 16 councils in results officially declare by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The results, collated by the Independent National Electoral Commission, however, showed that the All Progressives Congress improved in performance compared the June 21, 2014 governorship election. The National Assembly results were being collated as at press time. Some results were however cancelled in the state due to allegations of miscreants taking over the process in the areas affected. The results from the local governments released are as follows:
