A 42-year-old jealous housewife identified as Esther (surname withheld) in Ugbolu community near Asaba, Delta State, is currently helping the police at the state CID after she allegedly slashed off her husband’s genitals during a fight that ensued over his perceived interest in other women.
It was reliably gathered that the suspect, a mother of two, allegedly attacked the husband after he was caught pants down with a woman in a hotel room, at the outskirts of the community.
Police spokesperson in the state DSP Celestina Kalu, confirmed that the suspect ambushed the husband near a hotel, adding that while he and his lover were coming out of the hotel room, the suspect emerged from the bush and engaged him in a fight, during which she allegedly slashed off his ‘male organ’ with a razor.
Sources said there have been unending quarrels between the couple at home over the victim’s randy lifestyle and the wife had severally threatened to spill his blood if he failed to desist from the act.
DSP Kalu said that the suspect, upon interrogation, confessed to the crime, adding that the incident occurred Monday evening.
According to her, the suspect would be charged to court upon completion of investigation.
