Nollywood actress, Ini Edo, has reacted to recent media speculations and rumours that her marriage crashed because of infidelity on her part.
The actress debunked the report, saying the report she didn’t cheat on her husband but asked for divorce due to “irreconcilable differences”.
“There is a conscious n malicious attempt at tarnishing my image.this whole saga is familiar let’s not forget de past.thanks n God bless”, she tweeted
She dissed the suggestion in the reports that her husband dumped her, insisting she was was the first to walk out of the marriage.
Taking the tweet further, she wrote, “I asked for a divorce from my my ex husband cos of lots of irreconcilable differences.i never cheated on my husband.”
Earlier reports say the husband of the actress, Philips accused her of cheating on him and actually asked Ini’s family to return his bride price to him which the family did.
It was learnt that Ini Edo’s family also accused the groom’s family of aiding the dissolution of the marriage because the actress did not give birth to a child.
Peddling the sad news across the social media, the sources added that the bride’s family had returned the bride price that was paid to them during the couple’s wedding ceremony.
The now ex-partners would have celebrated their sixth anniversary of their marriage next month. The couple got married in November 2008 in an elaborate ceremony that was held in Houston, Texas in the United States.
