The Independent National Electoral Commissions (INEC) in Emohua local government area has been set ablaze by unknown political thugs.
According to reports, the building located at Emohua, the Capital of the council which houses the electoral body was set on fire Sunday morning By unknown persons.
Rivers State has been a flash point in this electoral cycles, with Rivers State Governor fighting to deliver his state, which incidentally is one of the primary bases of President Goodluck Jonathan.
Amaechi is the director- general of the APC Presidential Campaign Organisation, while the president Jonathan is from the South South zone, which includes Rivers State.
The state has been most violent in this season, with many killings recorded even before the Sunday elections.
APC on Saturday called for elections in the state saying that what happened in the state was a mere charade.
