IBB not in grave health condition: Associate

An associate of former military president, General Ibrahim Babangida (IBB), has debunked rumours and speculations about the state of health of the former Nigerian numero uno.
An online news portal had reported that the state of health of the former president was “grave,” after President Goodluck Jonathan visited him at a Germany hospital, on Sunday.
But according a report in Tribune, a close associate of the former president said IBB was doing fine.
The unnamed associate, in a press statement, said “IBB is on a routine medical check up on his famous Radiculopathy case, an injury he sustained during the Biafran war, for which he had a back operation in a German hospital years ago while he was still in office.
“From time to time, IBB goes to his doctors in Germany for routine medical review and that’s why he’s in the hospital in Germany right now.”
