Fire on Wednesday gutted the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation in Abuja, Nigeria.
Surprisingly, this is happening 10 days after the city of Abuja was locked down as part of curtailment measures against coronavirus pandemic.
This means that there should be no activities in the building as civil servants are all at home in response to the lockdown.
The fire, whose cause is yet to be determined, reportedly started from the third floor, and burnt the building upwards including the accountant general’s office and others
Reports indicate that the Federal Fire Service, FFS, has successfully stopped fire, according to a post on the official facebook page of the FFS Public Relation’s office.
