Chelsea star Eden Hazard is aiming to help the club reach the UEFA Champions League final in 2015-16 after they crashed out of this season’s competition in the last-16 to Paris Saint-Germain.
Hazard, 24, won the Premier League and League Cup double, while also claiming personal accolades with the PFA and Football Writers’ Player of the Year awards.
But the Belgian has to watch the Champions League final between Barcelona and Juventus from the sidelines and insists that Chelsea are keen to be involved in next season’s showpiece.
“It’s always good to see the final, but it’s better if you play in it,” he told Sky Sports. “This season it was not [to be] for Chelsea, but I hope next season we will be in the final.”
Chelsea jetted off to Thailand and Australia immediately after the Premier League season ended and Hazard will now be involved for Belgium’s international double-header against France and Wales.
“I am a little bit tired but I am ready to play in both the games,” he added. “I want to go on holiday, but I still have one week to work and to win the games.”
