Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar said that he was not on the campaign Of the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari because he was not invited.
Abubakar, who contested with Buhari for the APC ticket, said in an interview with BBC Hausa service on Friday, that he had not been invited to the APC presidential campaign rallies.
The Adamawa-born politician who has been a conspicuous absence in Buhai team, said he would not attend the campaign if not invited.
According to him, “There are minor irregularities in connection with the system being followed by the campaign team of General Buhari but we are trying to correct it.
“They need to check the strategy they are adopting.” Abubakar said he had informed the Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign Organisation and Governor of Rivers State, Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, about the issue. “I told him that if he did not invite me, I will not go,” he added. Abubakar also denied reports that he was planning to return to the Peoples Democratic Party.
