Nigeria has recorded another death arising from COVID-19 infection complications in Lagos State.
This coming after an earlier death of a medical doctor identified as Dr Aliyu Yakubu, who based in Daura, from the same deadly virus..
Professor Akin Abayomi, the State’s Commissioner for Health disclosed the latest case on Wednesday via his Twitter handle.
In his tweet, Professor Abayomi stated that the victim is a 66-year-old citizen of the United Kingdom.
According to Prof Abayomi, the victim travelled from India via Dubai and entered Lagos on the 17th of March, 2020.
The Commissioner also confirmed that cases of Coronavirus had increased by 10, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 130.
He further disclosed that another COVID-19 patient has been discharged after full recovery, this brings the number of discharged patients to 32.

The Katsina victim Yakubu, according to Governor Aminu Masari who briefed reporters earlier at the Government House in Katsina, died on Saturday last week.
He passed just days before the NCDC confirmed that he had been infected with coronavirus.
The doctor was hospitalised at the Nigerian Air Force Reference Hospital for about two hours before he died, following his return from a trip to Lagos.
On his way back, he was said to have stopped in Kogi State – his home – where he spent two weeks before returning to Daura.
As part of measures to contain further spread of COVID-19 in Katsina, Governor Masari had directed that all Yakubu’s contacts be identified by health officials from the state Ministry of Health.
He also asked that their blood samples be collected for laboratory testing between Tuesday evening and Wednesday.
Meanwhile, while Nigeria has been successful in curtailing the spread of the pandemic disease, it has not completely flattened the curve of spread as new cases continue to pop up here and there.
Sixteen new cases were reported on Tuesday, bringing the total number of COVID-19 infections in the country to 254.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed the updated figure which rose from 238 in a tweet on Tuesday evening.
Ten of the new cases were discovered in Lagos and two infections were confirmed in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Oyo also recorded two new infections while Delta and Katsina States recorded their first cases of coronavirus.
