THE Delta State Commissioner in Charge of Project Monitoring, Ekerekosu David, has pleaded for cooperation from his colleagues in other ministries to allow effective monitoring of projects.
David stated this on Tuesday after resuming at his new office, stating that they should not work at cross purposes and invite friction in order not to disappoint the state and the people since they all work for the same government.
While saying that the government cannot finish strong if projects are not well executed, he stated that he would rely on the technical know-how of the staff and their sincere and honest advice since the job involves fieldwork and a critical department in the governance of the state.
David stated that projects must be finished as at when due, ensuring that money is judiciously used, assuring that he would meet with Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan for fund after acquainting himself with the workings of the ministry.
Earlier, Ike Oduah, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, informed the commissioner on the mission of the ministry and the members of staff, just as he took him round all the offices in company of other directors and some members of staff.
