Pan-Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo on Monday inaugurated its women wing in a colourful ceremony held at its National Secretariat in Enugu.
The Deputy President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Ogochukwu Onyema who presided over the inauguration, charged the women to work for Ndigbo and eschew all forms of bickering among them.
Onyema warned the women against disobedience to the parent body, reminding them that they are just an arm of Ohanaeze Ndigbo and not an Independent body.
He told the women that they must do consultation in all their activities to ensure that they do not derail from the objectives and goals of Ohanaeze Ndigbo.
“You must be united to achieve whatever you want to achieve. To succeed, you must consult. We do not want a situation where tomorrow, somebody will come and tell you that you are the women wing or that you are the youth wing and therefore you are independent. You are an arm of Ohanaeze and you must operate as such” Onyema said.
