It was a night of thrills, frills, unlimited fun and the unveiling of a potential life-changing wealth creation scheme for millions of Nigerian youths on Friday as pioneer composite e-commerce outfit Yudala shut down the city of Abuja with the second instalment of Yudala Zero Gravity – a multi-city mega entertainment concert which witnessed a record crowd at the Sheraton Hotel, Abuja.
The over-crowded event featured the official launch of YUBOSS – a wealth creation scheme powered by Yudala in partnership with Access Bank and Airtel and which has received a N1.5 billion support from the Leo Stan Ekeh Foundation to generate creative employment and grow future billionaires and millionaires in Nigeria.
In attendance at the star-studded event was the Hon. Minister of Labour/Productivity, Dr. Chris Ngige, who flagged off the YUBOSS Scheme, as well as the Minister of Communications, Barr. Adebayo Shittu. Also present were the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu; former Governor of Imo State, Chief Achike Udenwa, and his wife; former Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon. Emeka Ihedioha; several Distinguished Senators and serving members of the National Assembly, Bank CEOs, captains of industryand representatives of corporate Nigeria.
Speaking before the unveiling of YUBOSS, Mr. Ekeh, Chairman of Leo Stan Ekeh Foundation, recalled several years of extreme pain before pleasure in his core sector of ICT. He reminded youths that this century, despite all challenges, is one of mega wealth for them but insisted that they have to work for it. He stated that the Foundation is focusing, for now, only on those who have the brain, energy and hunger to achieve certified wealth. While assuring that he hasinstalled digital infrastructure to personally mentor all those selected through the YUBOSS platform, Ekeh disclosed that his ambition is that, by 2021, the Foundation would have delivered 36 sustainable billionaires and 778 millionaires.
In his speech during the unveiling of YUBOSS, Dr. Ngige lauded Yudala for the giant strides recorded in the marketplace within a year of existence and the determination to empower the youths through YUBOSS. The minister also showered encomiums on the Leo Stan Ekeh Foundation for the landmarkinvestment in YUBOSS – a move which, in his opinion, will go a long way in aiding the government’s efforts at job creation.
Also speaking, Barr. Shittu expressed the commitment of the Ministry of Communications to partner with Yudala and the Leo Stan Ekeh Foundation in further growing Nigeria.
He said: “Part of our mandate in the Ministry of Communications is to increase the contribution to Nigeria’s GDP through partnerships with the ICT sector and especially e-commerce which is enjoying huge investments and growing at an astronomical rate in the country.
“I must commend the Management of Yudala for creating a viable platform such as YUBOSS to empower our youths and my good friend, Leo Stan Ekeh Foundation for his many pioneering efforts and for believing in Nigeria. The Ministry of Communications will partner with Yudala and the Leo Stan Ekeh Foundation to take the YUBOSS message to every nook and cranny of the country to ensure that not only the people of Abuja will benefit from this huge opportunity.
“Unemployment and poverty are two of the biggest challenges facing the country today and it is our hope that through this scheme, many of our youths will find a way to the top.”
The event witnessed a series of exciting performances from major artistes including Naeto C, David Grey, ace comedian, Ali Baba, Shody and a host of comedians who kept the audience laughing all through. The performance of the night, however, belonged to Phyno, who delivered a high-octane show which kept the crowd on their feet for over an hour.
Attendees also enjoyed an auction sales anchored by Yudala featuring a number of premium devices such as the HP Spectre, iPhone 7, Samsung Galaxy G7, among others. News express
