Two middle-aged men have been arrested in Ibadan, Oyo State, for allegedly killing a woman at the weekend.
A police source disclosed that the deceased – Serifat Olasumbo was matcheted to death with multiple cuts to the head, neck and hands.
She was found in a pool of blood in a building located at Ayoola Close, Orogun area of the city, on Saturday.
The woman died while she was being taken to the hospital.
Olasumbo was allegedly killed by a bricklayer who came to carry out repair works on the building.
The suspect is said to be at large.
Olasumbo’s corpse has since been deposited at a morgue in the State Hospital, Adeoyo.
The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Olabisi Clet-Ilobanafor, confirmed the incident, saying police officials are on the trail of the fleeing suspect.
