Vice president-elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, said on Friday that emergence as president-elect was a fulfillment of an earlier prophecy by Pastor Enoch A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E.A. Adeboye.
Osinbajo emerged out of the shadows to clinch the post of running with the All Progressives Congress candidate Muhammad Buhari, out of many political juggernauts that expresse interest.
At the presidential polls on March28, 2015, the law professor, who is also a senior pastor of RCCG, emerged winner along with the principal candidate Buhari.
Pastor Adeboye had a few years ago prophesied that a time would soon come when presidents, vice presidents, governors and other key offices shall emerge from among members of the church.
Professor Osinbajo, the Nigerian Tribune reports, made this disclosure last weekend at the May National Holy Ghost Service of RCCG at the Redemption Camp at kilometer 46, Lagos – Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State.
According to the report, when it was his turn to testify about God’s goodness, the Professor of Law, who is also the pastor-in-charge of Lagos Province 48, recalled the prophesy, saying his victory at the polls was a part fulfilment of the prophecy.
“My name is Yemi Osinbajo and I’m here to testify to God’s goodness. For the past four months, we have been campaigning all around the country by sea, air, road and God has kept us and by March 28, He gave us victory at the poll,” he said.
His testimony was interspersed with standing ovation from the mammoth crowd at the Arena Ground of the camp, who were obviously thrilled by the divine promotion of one of their own.
The president-elect said, “God marked me out for the position of the vice president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”.
Osinbajo said he is “part of the fulfilled prophecy made by Pastor Enoch Adeboye, that in RCCG, there would be pastors, presidents, vice presidents in the church”.
