Hajia Aisha Buhari has credited Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the tremendous gains made by her husband Muhammed Buhari in the current political cycle.
According to her, the sacrificial support of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to her husband’s presidential aspiration has boosted his chances more than ever in his four-time run for the presidency.
Mrs. Buhari said Asiwaju jettisoned personal interest to ensure that Professor Yemi Osinbajo emerged as vice-presidential candidate to her husband
According to her, Tinubu’s support has brought her husband’s ten-year presidential quest to near actualisation.
She spoke at the 14th town hall meeting of the Lagos Central senatorial district hosted by Senator Oluremi Tinubu (APC senatorial candidate).
Also speaking, Tinubu declared that President Goodluck Jonathan’s time in office was up, lampooning the administration for having a morbid phobia for election upon what he claimed was years of missed opportunities and misgovernancean occasion that drew some of the leading lights of the Lagos political crowd.
Mrs. Tinubu, at the occasion, berated the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for pursuing economic policies that did not percolate down to the people.
The occasion was 14th edition of the Lagos Central senatorial district town-hall meeting tagged, ‘Treading the path to prosperity’, which also saw the launch of a book written by Senator Oluremi Tinubu, entitled ‘Stewardship Report: A collection of Town Hall Speeches (2011-2014)’ .
Mrs. Dolapo Osinbajo, wife of Professor Yemi Osinbajo, APC vice-presidential candidate; Lagos State First Lady, Dame Abimbola Fashola, Senator Babafemi Ojodu, among others were present at the occasion.
