The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, escaped assassination attempt, according to his aide.
The attempt on his his life was made while on a campaign tour in Ndioro Village, Ikwuano L.G.A.
Director of Media and Publicity, Chris Ukah said that attempted assassination has recharged his principal who has vowed that no amount of intimidation will stop him from spreading his message of hope and restoration to the people of the state.
Otti,who was until his foray into politics, the Group Managing Director of Diamond Bank PLC, assured that he was committed to reinventing an elaborate programme that touches the people’s lives.
According to Uka, it is those jealous of the resounding acceptance of the APGA candidate all over the state that are resorting to such evil plan.
Otti,s spokesman accused the state government Of employing people to disrupt all his town hall meetings.
He also noted that targets of the attack were Otti and the candidate running for Abia Central senatorial seat.
