More than 55 million Nigerians out of close to 69 million that registered voters have collected their Permanent Voters Cards as at Monday March 09, The Independent National Electoral Commission said its latest report on the subject matter.
The figure represents 80.61 per cent collection rate.
By the report, over 13 million Nigerians are yet to collect their PVCs.
Zamfara and Jigawa states top the collection rate with 95.97 and 95.91 respectively, while Ogun State is at the rear with less than 45 per cent.
Significantly, in Lagos, with 5.8 million voters only 3.8 voters have collected their PVC, representing 64.64 per cent. This means that approximately two million voters are yet to collect their cards at at Monday.
It will be recalled that INEC has extended the deadline for the collection of the PVC from March 8 to March 24:
