The Peoples Democratic Party’s Presidential candidate, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, and his All Progressives Congress’ counterpart, Muhammed Buhari, are running even as early Tuesday morning going by the latest numbers in the poll powered by the telephony giant MTN Communictions Limited.
According to the latest numbers, out of 24,867 votes Jonathan, who is the incumbent president,
and his main rival Buhari polled 50 per cent each.
Polls after polls have projected a very tight race. The latest numbers show Jonathsn just ahead by insignificant three votes: while 12,435 preferred Joathan, 12,432 settled for Buhari.
By Sunday night when a little less than 400o votes had come in, the PDP leads with 50 per cent of votes polled, the APC followed closely with 49 per cent, while the rest of the other parties garnered 1 per cent.
In the opinion poll, conducted via mobile phones, subscribers to the MTN network were asked,

After voting, the subscriber is asked to text PRS to 33028 to get the instant result of the poll up to the time he voted. By the time of this report, 8.53 PM on Sunday, less than 4000 persons had voted.
Political pundits are already predicting that run-of election is likely as a clear winner is unlikely to emerge.
