Bafana Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba believes that finishing chances in front of goal is a worldwide problem.
Mashaba was a coach content with his side’s 0-0 result against Nigeria but believes his young side is not the only team to scuff goal-bound chances.
“The only problem that I am looking at is finishing up (chances created) and it’s not this teams problem it’s worldwide,” said Mashaba after the goalless draw at Cape Town stadium.
“I want to warn people it is not an easy position to train people to score goals.
“It is all about the individual and how they behave in that area because situations come in different ways.”
Mashaba believes that strikers are fearful of being challenged by defenders because there are chances that injuries can occur in congested ares.
Bafana Bafana next face Congo, a side with two wins so far in their AFCON qualifying campaign, away from home October 11 and return to South Africa for the home leg on October 15.
Bafana Bafana are in second position in Group A, just two points behind Congo but more importantly three points ahead of the Super Eagles.
