The acting Inspector General of Police Suleiman Abba has appointed Kayode Aderanti as the new Commissioner of Police for Lagos State.
He will replace Umar Tanko who was recently promoted Assistant Inspector General of Police.
The appointment of the new police boss for Lagos was contained in the posting of new Commissioners of Police (CPs) for 21 State Police Commands released in Abuja on Monday.
This followed the recommendation of the Commissioners to the Police Service Commission and its subsequent approval.
