The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch A. Adeboye, has asked Christians not to limited God by thinking that there is anything beyond God.
Preaching a sermon under the a series From lockdown to leaping up, the revered man of God urged Christians to learn to nurture big dreams as God is able to perform them all.
The sermon which was broadcast to Dove Television and online media to global audience had Looking up to God as a sub-theme.
Adeboye said that people are wont to judge God’s abilities ased on their own limited strength, but emphasised that God is more than every challenge.
Citing the Bible text Ephesians 3: 20, which reveals the divine truth on God ability to do exceeding above what ‘we ask or think,’ he said that Christians should ‘dream big and think big.’
On how you know whether your dream is from God, Adeboye said that if you tell your dream to people and they begin to laugh at you, then you know God is in it.
According to him, God-given dreams are often beyond the scope of human rationalisation.
Recalling his own life story, he said that years back when he was living in Mushin he told his friends that God promised a city, but they laughed it off. He is said that Remption City is a testimony that Dream.
He encouraged those who think that there dreams could no longer be realised to banish the thought. He said that God could still revive your dream and bring it to pass.
Adeboye said that your situations and circumstances might offer you no hope, but you must keep up faith in God and sustain your link with him.
Citing example of Moses, who had a dream of leading his people out of captivity, but at 80 years he was still tending sheep, but God still still revived his dream and used him beyond all imagination, he encouraged children of God to remain root in God who could still use them to great purpose.
He also made reference to David who thought he was already living his dream while tending sheep for his father at the backside of the desert but God lifted him to become a king.
The General Overseer said that Al things are possible to those who keep looking up and linking up to God.
He said that it was the belief of Joshua to propelled to command the sun and the moon to standstill and they obeyed.
Adeboye said it is only the faithful children of God that He uses to that great height, urging those who are yet to give their lives to Christ to do so without further hesitation from them to the limitless blessings of God.
