APC navigator and former President, Olusegun Obasanjo is said to be very unhappy with Governor Sule Lamido’s endorsement of President Jonathan for a second term.
Sources close to the former President said that Lamido’s action has destabilised Obasanjo’s plan to field him at the PDP Presidential primary.
Obasanjo fell out with President Jonathan after the President refused to be used to promote the erstwhile political and economic interests.
The former President and Lamido had consulted with party leaders on the issue of Lamido’s Presidential aspiration and was planning to head the strategy and finance mobilization team of the campaign.
Lamido reportedly joined the endorsement train when Northern PDP leaders made it clear that they would not support him against Jonathan.
