Woman Accidentally Shot Dead By 2yr Old Son

A 2-year-old boy, sitting in a shopping cart at a Walmart in Hayden, Idaho, shot and killed his mother on Tuesday with a handgun from her purse, the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office said in statement. The mother, 29, was shopping with her son and several other family members when the accident occurred, the sheriff’s office said.
The son “was seated in the shopping cart and accessed the victim’s concealed weapon from her purse and discharged it, striking the victim.” The shooting appeared to be accidental, the statement said.
The mother,who not identified, had a permit to carry a concealed weapon, according to media reports. Hayden, in the Idaho panhandle, is north of Coeur d’Alene and about 40 miles from Spokane, Wash. The authorities told The Associated Press that the woman and the children were in the back of the store near the electronics area when the shooting occurred. –
