Rivers State PDP Governorship Candidate, Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has congratulated President Goodluck Jonathan on his ratification as the PDP Presidential Candidate of the PDP, pledging that Rivers State PDP under his leadership will play a prominent role in the President’s re-election in 2015.
The governorship candidate also commended PDP delegates from across the nation for casting their votes in favour of the ratification of the candidature of President Goodluck Jonathan.
He said that the overwhelming support for the President is a confirmation of the high approval rating that his transformation agenda has received from Nigerians, irrespective of their background.
Barrister Wike assured that Rivers PDP members will work with other stakeholders to ensure an overwhelming victory for the President during the Presidential election on February 14, 2015.
He said his meet the PDP Delegates tour of all 23 local government areas of Rivers State revealed that the people are completely in support of President Jonathan and all PDP candidates in the forthcoming general elections.
The former Minister of State for Education noted that the people of Rivers State and the entire South-South geo-political zone have resolved to have nothing to do with the opposition political party because it has no developmental agenda for Nigeria.
He also commended the President for nominating Vice President Namadi Sambo as his running mate for the 2015 Presidential election.
