The Niger Delta Avengers has launched a new website after its original site was shut down by unknown hackers
The site had gone down suddenly, raising suspicions that agents of the federal government may have hacked the site,
Reports indicate that just hours after reports that the website of the Niger Delta Avengers, www.nigerdeltavengers.com was down and inaccessible to the public, the militant group came up with a new website, www.nigerdeltaavengers.org.
The militant group had in the last one month always promoted its attacks on oil installations in the Niger Delta, using its website, Facebook page and Twitter handle, @NDAvengers. Vanguard had earlier reported the shutdown of the group’s website. However, the group on Sunday afternoon, stated via its Twitter handle that its old website was never shutdown, but underwent maintenance.
