Chairman of South-East Governors Forum and Abia State Governor, Theodore Orji, on Sunday in Enugu, declared that no vacancy exist in Aso Rock in 2015.
Orji, who spoke at the 15th anniversary of Igbo Youth Movement, noted that while using South-East Governors Forum for Igbo unity, they were not challenging the President.
He reaffirmed the support of South-East governors for Jonathan in his re-election, saying they were working assiduously to deliver the entire votes in the Southeast to him
He maintained that President Goodluck Jonathan would remain in power until 2019 and after that they know what would happen.
“The South-East governors have supported the President consistently. We will continue to support him. You know his wife is our own. He will rule until 2019. And after that, we decide where the presidency will go next” Orji said.
Orji, who received Award of Excellence in Governance at the event, however described disunity as the bane of Ndigbo, saying nobody wants to queue behind the other.
Orji noted that Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu tried for Ndigbo, but there is need for somebody to continue from where he stopped.
Thanking IYM for giving him the award, Orji said his administration focused on doing what will touch people’s lives, especially in the Health Sector, because “democracy makes meaning to only those alive.
“It is a person living who will talk about democracy. It is somebody is alive, who will build road. That is why we built a diagnostic centre. That is why we built 520 health centres, fully equipped.
