Former Vice President of Nigeria and a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has said that turning Nigeria around will be difficult but can be done, stressing that the country needs a leadership that understands the power of the collective will.

Atiku who is a Presidential aspirant on the platform of the APC stated this yesterday, at a Meeting with the Administrative Board of the Catholic Bishops Conference, at the Pope John Paul II Pastoral Centre, Wuse II, Abuja.
He explained that It requires a leader who understands that a mobilized populace can achieve virtually anything it sets its mind to make Nigeria work.
Speaking further, he said he had offered himself for the office of President in the past, and stated that he is still doing so again this time and noted that he has the requisite qualification, experience and reach to help Nigeria improve the lives of its citizens.
The former vice president insisted that the leader this country needs now is someone who can assemble the best talent available and mobilize our people for the difficult task of nation-building.
“I plan to focus on a few critical areas, including the following: concentrate on infrastructural projects, diversify the economy, improve education tackle insecurity, devolve power and resources, electoral reforms, tackle corruption.” He ended
