The Nigerian military has recorded another huge success in the fight against insurgency as soldiers on counter insurgency operation in the Northeast have destroyed a fuel depot belonging to suspected members of Boko Haram.

The acting director, Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Usman, who made this known yesterday in Abuja, said the soldiers had embarked on the operation after some of the kidnapped villagers who escaped from their abductees reported the matter to the military.
Usman said the terrorists had abducted seven persons at Gajabere, among them three local wards head called “Lawani” and their respective deputies, and the Chief Imam of the town and held them hostage at Labu Dambuwa ward. Three of the abductees, however, escaped.
