No fewer than seven cabinet members are resigning from the Cross River State Executive Council Those expected to resign are Secretary to the State Government, Mike Aniah, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alex Egbona and Commissioner for Works, Legor Idagbor.
Others include Commissioner for Local Government, Peter Ojie, Commissioner for Sports, Patrick Ugbe, Special Adviser, Investment Promotion, Gerald Adah and Chairman of state Internal Revenue Service,. Peter Oti among other.
They are all aspirants jostling to succeed their boss except the Chief of Staff Dr whose ambition is to occupy the House of Representative seat for Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituency.
Governor Liyel Imoke had reportedly given them October 14 deadline which means their last salary will be this September so they can leave by September ending or latest October 14.
