President Buhari has doused the anxiety raised by Nigerians over the probability of the United States trading the dreaded same sex agenda to Nigerian president in exchange for assistance.
This stance was relayed by the president’s media officer, Femi Adesina, who said that Buhari was equivocal in distancing the country from such agreement. He said the President ruled out any chance of Nigeria being pressured by the US into legalising homosexuality in the country.
Adesina, in a Twitter post, revealed that President Buhari outrightly rejected the idea citing legal and cultural reasons.
The issue of gay marriage came up here yesterday. PMB was point blank. Sodomy is against the law in Nigeria, and abhorrent to our culture.
