Former Governor of Plateau State, Chief Joshua Dariye, said Tuesdya he was back to People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to bring back the lost glory of the party.
Dariye, while urging Plateau people to vote President Goodluck Jonathna and his Vice President Namadi Sambo, appealed to the youth to shun campaign of blackmail and work for the candidates of their choice in the upcoming general election.
Dariye is seeking re-election into the Senate on the platform of the PDP.
He spoke at the campaign rally of the governorship candidate of the party, Senator Gyang Pwajok.
The former governor urged the youth not to be deceived by intrigues of politicians but be mindful of the best choices open to them.
He said, “The joy of politics has to do with exclusion and inclusion, which make democracy beautiful.
“Politicking is one of the major tenets of democracy.
“I was outside the PDP but now I am back to the party to bring back the lost glory of the state.”
Addressing the people of Plateau Central Senatorial District, Pwajok sued for their cooperation and of support for President Goodluck Jonathan/Vice President Namadi Sambo ambition in the forthcoming election.
Pwajok was in Nefur Arena in Pankshin Local Government Area to canvass for votes.
He commended Governor Jonah Jang’s administration for the infrastructural development he brought to the state, especially the quality of road network spread across the 17 local government areas.
He promised to continue with the good legacy of past leaders of Plateau State, appealing to people to work together for the progress of the state.
The governorship candidate promised a cordial working relationship with the Federal Government to attract many more projects in transforming the agriculture sector through irrigation, through which Jonathan promised to create 27,000 jobs.
