Receptionist accused of stealing with boss’ ATM card

Lagos—A 30-year-old receptionist, Gladys Obaro, was yesterday charged before a Tinubu Magistrate’s Court for allegedly withdrawing N160,000 from her boss’ account, using her ATM card.
The Police prosecutor, Austine Orji, told the court that the defendant on December 5, at Shop EE7 at Ikota Shopping Centre, Ajah, Lagos, stole the said money with a Zenith Bank ATM card.
He said the money and the card belong to one Ngozika Mba, whom the defendant was working for as a receptionist.
Orji said the incident happened at 10:30p.m., at Zenith ATM machine located at Plot 6, Layi Crescent Admiralty Way in Lekki.
When the charge was read to the defendant, she pleaded not guilty.
However, Magistrate Salam Matepo granted the defendant bail in the sum of N50,000, with two responsible sureties, each in like sum.
She adjourned the matter till January 26, 2015, for mention.
