Juventus have identified Chelsea holding midfielder Nemanja Matic as the man to replace Paul Pogba, but may have to face competition from Real Madrid for his signature.
The 27-year-old is in his second spell at Stamford Bridge since re-joining from Benfica in January 2014, and despite coach Antonio Conte’s public declaration that he wants to keep the Serbian at the club, is seeking a new challenge.
With Pogba on the verge of re-joining Manchester United for a world record fee, the Bianconeri have full wallet of cash to splash and could make a tempting offer to the Blues that may prove too hard to turn down.
Ironically however, Real – who were beaten in the chase by Pogba for United – may turn their attention to Matic to add some more steel to their midfield, according to the Metro.

Real coach Zinedine Zidane is a huge admirer of the dominant Serbian, and has asked his directors specifically for him. Los Blancos are preparing an offer of around €25 million to take Matic to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, which may spark Juventus into action.
Matic has made 111 appearances for the Blues across both spells, scoring five goals, but the addition of N’Golo Kante is believed to have pushed him down the pecking order.
