Mfon Udoh’s late strike secured a 2-1 win for Enyimba in a fiercely contested oriental derby against Enugu Rangers at the U.J Esuene Stadium on Sunday.
The Flying Antelopes drew the first blood 15 minutes into the game courtesy of former Enyimba player, Daniel Etor before second half substitute Stephen Chukwude got the equaliser for the host, two minutes after replacing Stanley Dimgba.
Mfon Udoh’s 90th minute strike completed the come back as Enugu Rangers maintain their spot at the bottom of the Nigeria Professional Football League table with 14 points from 14 games.
Rivers United which came second behind Rangers last season also continued their poor form as they fell 1-0 to Gombe United through a 27th minute goal.
