Qatar Airways has issued a travel alert saying they have suspended flights to UAE, Bahrain, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
The suspension followed feud with Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt and Bahrain deepens over country’s alleged support for Iran and Islamic militants.
Bahrain, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE have cut military and diplomatic ties with Qatar, alleging the country has been supporting extremist groups.
Airlines including Emirates and Etihad have been told to stop flying to Qatar. Emirates announced: “As instructed by the UAE government, Emirates will suspend its flights to and from Doha, starting from the morning of 6 June 2017, until further notice.
“All customers booked on Emirates’ flights to and from Doha will be provided with alternative options, including full refunds on unused tickets and re-booking to alternate Emirates destinations.”
The Qatar Airways announced that the suspension to UAE and Bahrain will come into force from early morning tomorrow (June 6).
The flights on June 5 will operate as planned. The airline said that suspension will be in force till further notice.
Suspension of Egypt flights will start tomorrow 7.00 and all flight to Saudi stands cancelled.
UAE
Qatar Airways has suspended all flights to the UAE from 03:00 Doha time, June 6 (00:00 UTC June 6) until further notice.
Flights QR1020, QR1021, QR1054, QR1055, QR1034, QR1035, QR 1036, QR1037, QR1018, QR1019, QR1014 and QR1015 to and from the UAE on June 5th will operate as planned and remain unaffected.
Bahrain
Qatar Airways has suspended all flights to the Kingdom of Bahrain from 03:00 Doha time, June 6 (00:00 UTC June 6th) until further notice.
Flights QR1106, QR1107, QR1108 and QR1109 to and from the Kingdom of Bahrain on June 5th will operate as planned and remain unaffected.
Egypt
Qatar Airways has suspended all flights to Egypt from 07:00 Doha time, June 6th (04:00 UTC June 6th) until further notice.
Flights QR1302 and QR1318 from Egypt on June 5th will operate as planned and remain unaffected.
Saudi Arabia
Qatar Airways has suspended all flights to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia until further notice.
All customers booked on affected flights will be provided with alternative options, including the option of a full refund on any unused tickets and free rebooking to the nearest alternative Qatar Airways network destination.
