The Governors of the five South-East states, National Assembly members from the zone and the leadership of Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo will meet in Enugu, on Sunday to continue deliberations on how to resolve the issue of the pro-Biafra protests and the demand for sovereignty by the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra.
The meeting is not unconnected with the latest protests by pro- Biafra groups sparked off by the arrest and detention of the Director of Radio Biafra Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
The governors had met earlier last Tuesday November 17, 2015.
The meeting which was presided over by the Imo State governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha lasted several hours and at the end of the meeting, the governors called for peace which was contained in a communiqué read by the Imo state governor.
It was at the Tuesday meeting too that the governors informed that the meeting would hold again on Sunday November 22, at the same venue with invitations now extended to other stakeholders in the zone including the National Assembly members and Ohaneze chieftains, among others.
