A Port Harcourt High Court has found Gracious David-West guilty of murdering some women inside hotel rooms and sentenced him to death by hanging.
BBC pidgin edition reports that David-West was arraigned on nine-count charge for murder of nine women and another count charge of attempted murder.
According to the report, the trial judge Justice Adolphus Enebeli found 40-year-old Gracious David West guilty of the murder of Maureen Ewuru, Jennifer Nwokocha, Blessing Effiong Linda Warifa Samuel, Dorcas Francis, Kelechi Bridget Onuoha Rose Samuel Anthonia Ibe.
He was also found guilty of the attempted murder of Benita Etim.
The trial of the suspects for the Port Harcourt hotel serial killings started since October 2019 after police arrested David-West on 19 September, 2019.
During the trial and even up till the judgement day, nobody turned up for court for Gracious David-West and the victims, BBC further reported .
According to the report, nobody also came to claim the bodies of the women victims of the serial killer.
