Kim Kardashian has addressed the Tristan Thompson cheating scandal for the first time. On this coming Monday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the KKW beauty mogul has some choice words about the sad situation.
“Poor Khloé,” she says. “Like, I don’t even know how to describe it besides it’s just so f***ed up.”
Earlier this month, it was revealed that the Cleveland Cavaliers basketball player cheated on Khloé Kardashian multiple times while she was pregnant. The reality star gave birth to their first child, daughter True, just days after learning he was unfaithful.
“We really were rooting for Khloé — and we still are,” Kim adds. “She’s so strong and she’s doing the best that she can. It’s really a sad situation all over.”
This is the first time anyone from the famous family has spoken publicly about the scandal. (Both Khloé and Thompson have remained silent.) While Kim acknowledges the incident, she won’t bash the NBA star.
“I kind of made this rule with my brother — if there’s a baby involved, I’m going to keep it cute, keep it classy, and not talk too bad,” she says, referring to the drama between Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna. “I’m going to try not to say anything so negative because one day, True is going to see this.”
Still, she says, “It’s just so messed up.”
Khloé welcomed True Thompson on April 12. Reports are all over the place as to the fate of the couple’s relationship, but sources tell Yahoo Entertainment that they are trying to work things out.
“She’s trying to forgive him,” says one insider. “They’re making progress.”
A second source confirms this, adding, “Tristan is really trying to win back Khloé’s trust. He wants them to be a family.”
Khloé is still in Cleveland despite her family’s wishes for her to return to Los Angeles with True. It doesn’t sound like she’s leaving anytime soon.
