The national secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has set up a body, “PDP Reloaded”, to woo the eligible populace to vote for it in the 2015 elections.
Mr Ralph Hart, the Rivers Coordinator of PDP Reloaded, told newsmen in Port Harcourt on Sunday that the body was working with the state executive of PDP to achieve its objectives.
“The aims and objectives of PDP Reloaded is to capture the core demography, the voting strength of the electorate.
“By that, we mean, students, professionals, market women, people that make up the majority of the private sector because we believe that government and the private sector should work hand in hand for development,” he said.
Hart said that PDP Reloaded was a body approved by the national secretariat of the party.
“It was designed to reinvigorate the party and make it more appealing to young men and women, students and professionals,’’ he said.
The coordinator said the body would focus on students and working age group of up to 55 to 60 years who are potential voters.
He said Rivers was very important to the PDP and that the body would work hard to ensure the party won the state next year.
Hart said that with hard work and cooperation by stakeholders, their assignment would be accomplished to make the party reclaim the state. (NAN)
