Faith Academy Canaanland, Ota, has appointed Mr. Evans Okwara as the new Principal of the school.
Okwara replaced the former Principal, Pastor Olukorede Akanni, who was redeployed to another station.
Okwara is an experienced
teacher and administrator. He was immediate past Principal of Faith Academy Goshen, Abuja.
He was first appointed Principal of the Abuja unit of the Faith Academy in August 2018.
The Rainbow learnt that the parents of the students in the school would want the new principal to stiffen discipline in the school, as some observed that the standard had waned over the past few years.
“There have been several cases of pilfering,” a parent alleged.
“Imagine my child’s bed matras disappeared without traces. Three of my children passed through this school. It was not like that before.”
Another said, “FA is about the best school in the country, in terms discipline, inculcating moral values, and making the child self-dependent, but I think a few things need to change in the area of discipline.”
Okwara is believed to be the right man to take the school to a new season, as had shown to astute administrator in his previous posting.
The appointment of the new Principal has since been confirmed by the Public Relations officer of the Parents Teacher Association F. Adeleye in a note to the parents of the school.
