Barring any last-minute change, the governorship primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State initially scheduled for Saturday July 7 may now hold on July 19.
WESTERN POST sources said the July 19 date was arrived at at a meeting of the National Working Committee of the party on the state’s primary election.
The governorship aspirants may also have to fork out N5.5 million to obtain nomination form from the party’s national headquarters.
No fewer than 29 aspirants are in the party’s governorship race.
But the leading candidates are said to be the current Chief of Staff in the state, Chief Gboyega Oyetola, Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, and World Bank Consultant, Chief Adeniyi Oriolowo.
