Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has escalated the political war raging between him and the Deputy Governor of the state, Prince Eze Madumere, by ordering the immediate withdrawal of all official drivers and administrative staff posted to the latter.
The directive was given via a release with official number, HSI/S.29/S.1/T.3/807 signed by one Umelo K.O on behalf of the Head of Service of the state (HOS), Mr. Calistus Ekenze.
While two out of the nine staff of the Deputy Governor were reposted to the Ministry of Justice, the remaining seven were directed to resume duty at the Office of the Head of Service on or before October 31st, 2018.
The release identified the affected staff as Onumaegbu G. C; Nwokocha D; Dike Isaac; Nwagwu Aloy O; Chukwu F. C; Echeta E; Odunze Martins; Uzozie Chukwubueze and Iheanacho Sunday.
The sudden withdrawal of the staff from the Deputy Governor’s Office is apparently connected with the major role reportedly played by Eze Madumere which was said to have led to the rejection of Governor Okorocha’s son-in-law, Chief Uche Nwosu, as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2019 election in the state
