Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has solicited the support of the judiciary, especially the magistrates, in the fight against crime and criminality in the state.
Governor Obiano made the appeal at the commencement of the 2014 Magistrates Association of Nigeria Week, Anambra chapter, held in Awka on Wednesday.
Obiano was represented by the state Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Chude Anali, on the occasion.
“I urge you to bear in mind that any attempt to give undue liberal consideration in favour of crimes, especially, felonious crimes will not augur well for the peace and security of the state,” Obiano stated.
