Hackers have reportedly leaked images of several more female celebrities, including a guy who doesn’t have enough problems as it is.
When will it stop?
TMZ reports that nude pics of Olympian Lindsey Vonn and actress and singer Katharine McPhee have been leaked to a site notorious for posting this type of content (not linking). The hackers also got images of stars Miley Cyrus, Kristen Stewart and a very revealing photo of Tiger Woods from the neck down.
The hackers allegedly found the pics of Tiger and Vonn on the skier’s phone.
Since the news broke, the two athletes have pledged to file a lawsuit. Here’s what a rep for Vonn said to the site The Big Lead:
It is an outrageous and despicable invasion of privacy for anyone to steal and illegally publish private intimate photos. Lindsey will take all necessary and appropriate legal action to protect and enforce her rights and interests. She believes the individuals responsible for hacking her private photos as well as the websites that encourage this detestable conduct should be prosecuted to the fullest extent under the law.
It’s unclear if the hacks all resulted from iCloud accounts. If that is the case, it needs to be said — why the hell are they still relying on iCloud?
If it’s just the fact that the images were on their phone, then that’s an even more tricky issue — one that might be solved with the help of a VPN perhaps?
I don’t want to say stop taking these pics because that’s not for me to say. But, like, celebs should seriously consider not sending them at this point.
But there is another way to stop these terrible leaks from happening? Don’t go searching for the pics and don’t click on the links. I know it’s tough, but you just have to resist. If you do, the sites will stop paying top dollar for the pics, and it’ll no longer be worth it for the hackers.
