Reports coming out from Yenogoa, the Bayelsa State capital indicates that security operatives are on high alert over probable return of volatility by the Niger Delta Militants in the region.
This development may not be unconnected with the recent meeting of ex-militant warlords summoned by Tompolo.
Also the removal of the Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Safety Authority (NIMASA) and the subsequent termination of the security surveillance contract of Tompolo’s company by the federal government would likely be a clue to the reasons behind the summon..
The summon of the meeting as released by Tompolo would hold on Saturday in Yenagoa.
