Contrary to expectations, the waiting game over Nigeria’s Super Eagles coach did not come to an end on Friday.
The much-awaited signing ceremony did not take place.
Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and Coach Stephen Keshi earlier scheduled to take place Friday did not take place afterall.
The general secretary of the NFF, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi had last week said that the two bodies would sign the contract by Friday.
But reports indicate that the signing did not take place.
Four more than eight months, Nigerians have been treated to one of the most shameful saga in the country’s football history over the engagement of a coach for Super Eagles.
Despite unequivocal stance of Nigerian football fans who would prefer a new face on the saddle, the NFF has been giving mixed signals about Keshi.
At a point, it gave impression that Nigeria has no alternative option that to re-engage Keshi, but it still by its body language appears unconvinced in contracting Keshi for the job.
