French publication L’Equipe reports that a deal has been agreed for Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin to join Manchester United.
The 25-year-old, who has been with The Saints since their days in League One, has nine caps for France and was also linked with a move to Arsenal.
L’Equipe believes that the fee will be €30 million but other sources say that the clubs are still discussing the specifics.
Arsenal were considered the frontrunners, but it appears that Arsene Wenger lost steam against the deep pocket of Manchester United. Schneiderlin, 25, is expected to more fibre to United’s defence.
