Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka of the Adoration Ministry in Enugu state has advised President Muhammau Buhari to arrest and prosecute all corrupt officials in his administration.
Mbaka was speaking at in Enugu on Saturday, December 31, 2016, in his New Year message at the cross over service to 2017 spoke gainst th background of growing criticisms against the president for turning blind eyes to allegations of corruption building up on topofficials of his govrnment.
The cleric, a known Buuhari apologist, predicted that Nigerians sufferings and hardship will be over in 2017.
According to him, Nigerians need to be patient and be prayerful as the country “is set to be great again,” The Nation reports.
The cleric also advised President Muhmadu Buhari to tackle the challenges facing the country, saying “many Nigerians are suffering.”
He said, “Though the President is trying on corruption and security, Nigerians are hungry; they want to see more changes.
“There is the need to assist businessmen and women in their businesses.”
Mbaka also advised Buhari to appoint experts who would help him to revive the economy.
According to him, Buhari should als reach out to Church leaders and eminent men of God
to advise him and tell him the truth about the economy.
“We cannot reach him for advice because of the kind of people around him,” he added.
The cleric called for the arrest of corrupt people in Buhari’s government, saying that he doesn’t have the phone number of Buhari, amid claims that he is always quick to defend the president.
